3. Rear Commodore's Report
Membership:
Let us all give a big welcome to our newest captain, John Hieber and 1st mate Debbie.
The Boat Show is rapidly approaching and Membership Chair Capt. Chris Benson is in need of volunteers to staff the QCYC booth.
Grounds:
Chairwoman Capt. Becky Garvie purchased a crystal ash try for the cigar area. Please do not put your cigars in the planters. The grounds are looking great with all the winter plantings. Thanks to you, Becky.
Security:
The webcams at our Main Station and Winslow are working well. I look at them twice a day. Thanks to Capt. Rod Hilden and Capt. Craig Ranta.
To view the webcam go to our QCYC home page, sign in, on the facilities bar a drop-down will appear then go to webcam Main station.
For Laurean and me, fall is J.O. Ball season. In October at Day Island Yacht Club Laurean was a leopard and I her Ringmaster. (Right). On Veterans’ Day we will be at Edmonds Yacht Club: they have a Saturday Cartoon theme. I, Fred Flintstone and my wife Wilma, hope to represent QCYC well.
December is upon us. That brings us to Special People’s Holiday Cruise, Lighted Boat Parade, Children’s Christmas Party and New York- New York New Year’s Eve. Please volunteer to help make these events a success.
Laurean and I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Bob Myers
Rear Commodore
