Fleet Captain's Report
Next up: a land cruise and after-Thanksgiving potpourri
Two events are on our cruising calendar for November.
We start with a land cruise on November 14 to three places -- and you can attend one or all three. We'll meet at the US Coast Guard Museum at 9:30 AM for a tour of the museum and an ice-breaker, Pyramid Ale for lunch from 12-1:45 PM, then to Qwest Field for a tour of that facility. The Qwest Field tour is at 2:30 -- it's best to get there by 2 to assure getting tickets. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and try to carpool. Please let me now if you plan to attend one or all of these events so I can make reservations. See flyer elsewhere in The Bilge Pump.
Then, for those of you who aren't going to the Apple Cup, why not watch it from the Outstation and enjoy some after-Thanksgiving relaxation, November 27-28-29? Since it is the "official" start of the holiday shopping season, we'll hop onto a ferry for a shopping excursion to downtown Seattle (with lunch, of course) for those who aren't into football. Saturday evening will feature an "Anything But Turkey" potluck, a homemade apple pie baking contest, and family-friendly game night. On Sunday, we'll provide a continental breakfast to get you on your way. Stay tuned for more details and activities. And keep your fingers crossed for "friendly weather."
