Junior Boating Camp
Queen City Junior Yacht Club, 2608 Boyer Avenue East on Portage Bay invites swimmers 9-17 years old to join one of 8 one-week sessions, beginning the week of June 18th – ending the week of August 12th.
Camp hours are M-F, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The camps are open to Elementary School Students, Middle School Students and High School Students regardless of whether you have any affiliation with the Queen City Yacht Club.
Certified Sailing Instructors will provide boating safety, small boat handling, basic rowing, rigging, sailing fundamentals, knot tying, and boating games. The goal of the camp is to give campers a taste of the many opportunities boating has to offer.
Unlike any other boating/sailing camp in Seattle we maintain small class sizes to ensure every student gets the attention they need. We make sure that every student gets at least one time on the water one-on-one with an instructor. To accomplish this, our class sizes range from 3 to 8 campers each week with two counselors.
Apply for sessions built on your skills in groups of your peers. Classes are available for beginning and intermediate sailors. Camp Tuition is $300 for one week and $575 for two weeks. For further information please e-mail juniorboating@queencity.org or call 206-709-2000.
