Junior Boating Camp
Queen City Junior Yacht Club, 2608 Boyer Avenue East on Portage Bay invites swimmers 9-17 years old to join one of 9 one-week sessions, beginning the week of June 21st and ending the week of August 20th. Camp hours are M-F, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Camp is open to Elementary School Students, Middle School Students, and High School Students regardless of whether you have any affiliation with the Queen City Yacht Club.
Certified Sailing Instructors will provide instruction in boating safety, small boat handling, basic rowing, rigging, sailing fundamentals, knot tying, boating and games. The goal of the camp is to give campers a taste of the many opportunities boating has to offer.
Unlike any other boating/sailing camp in Seattle we maintain small class sizes to ensure every student gets the attention they need. We make sure that every student gets at least one one-on-one time out on the water with an instructor. To ensure this our class sizes range between 3-6 campers each week with two counselors.
Apply for sessions dependent on your skills in groups of your peers. Classes are available for beginning and intermediate sailors. $300 for one week $575 for two weeks.
