From the Commodore (COVID-19)

Dear QCYC Members,

QCYC leadership has been diligently monitoring the outbreak and spread of respiratory illness caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Because the health and safety of Members, staff, and the community is top priority, we want you to know the steps we are taking:

  1. The Office Manager will be working from home until the Governor's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order ends on May 4th. Additional time will be notated here and on the calendar as needed.
    1. If you have office matters, please contact Elise via email at office@queencity.org.
    2. Vendors can ring our Main Entrance doorbell for dock access. Click here for instructions.
  2. We again ask any Member who may be ill to not enter the building. For those who are healthy, we are also requesting you do not occupy the 2nd and 3rd floor spaces. Only the 1st floor should be accessed for laundry or the restrooms.
  3. We have made the following changes for April:
    • April 11 – Docks Fun Day is canceled.
    • April 11 – Kids' Easter Party is canceled.
    • April 16 – Tarettes: Museum & Lunch Tour is canceled.
    • April 17 to April 19 – Outstation Work Party is canceled.
    • April 17 to April 19 – Daffodil Festival is canceled by Tacoma Yacht Club.
    • April 26 – QCYC Open House is canceled.
    • April 29 to May 3 – Opening Day by QCYC & SYC is canceled.
    • The QCYC Cafe & Ships Store will remain CLOSED through the end of April.

We are closely watching this rapidly changing situation.  As we move ahead, I will keep you posted of any other changes to Club activities. Please utilize the QCYC calendar as your primary scheduling resource.
