Salt Spring Marina - Closed through October 1

***UPDATE***

Thank you for your continued patience and support. As we are working through the issues with the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development to secure an amended Water Lot Lease for the next 30 years, we do not yet have permission to build or operate in any way within the lease area. Once we have that permission, our builder has estimated that it will take 60 days to dredge, drive piles, and install the docks. At this point it appears that an October 1 completion date might be possible. If so, we will welcome boaters who wish to take advantage of the protection of our new marina during the winter storms.

We will strive to inform you of any change in this schedule, and hope to see you when our new marina is finally open.

We greatly apologize for an inconvenience this may have caused you.

Kind Regards,

Lesley Cheeseman, General Manager

Jerry Parks and Bony O’Connor, Owners

Salt Spring Marina Ltd.

Dear QCYC,

We are extremely sorry to tell you that we must cancel all moorage reservations for the months of June and July.

We are eagerly awaiting approval by the Ministry of Forest Land and Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD) to begin installation of our new docks, so we will not be opening the Marina until at least August 1. We will strive to inform you of any change in this schedule, and hope to see you when our new marina is finally open.

We greatly apologize for this inconvenience.

Kind Regards,

Lesley Cheeseman, General Manager
