CALL TO ORDER: Commodore Yates called the meeting to order in the Clubhouse at 1934 hours.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice-Commodore McGillin led the general membership in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

SENIOR MEMBER RECOGNITION: Rear-Commodore Roberts recognized Captain John Rogers as the senior member in attendance.

READING OF THE MINUTES: Acting Secretary Ed Jennerich read the minutes of the previous meeting and they were approved as read.

CORRESPONDENCE: The Acting Secretary read a letter of Withdrawal from Captain Linda Graddon which was approved by the membership.

APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: Mitch Garton, whose application had been read previously, was introduced.

COMMODORE: Commodore Yates, being desirous of a short meeting, deferred his report until the next meeting. Being overcome with the spirit of the season, the Commodore offered a round of free drinks at the bar after the meeting.

VICE-COMMODORE: Vice Commodore McGillin reported that repairs to Dock 3 will begin next week, followed closely by work on Dock 1 beginning farthest from shore and working in.

REAR-COMMODORE: Rear Commodore Roberts was absent.

TREASURER: Treasurer John Rogers said membership cards are in the mail. He also noted that he had not received outstation billing information in time for the January billing, as the Outstation Dockmaster was away on vacation.

FLEET CAPTAIN: Fleet Captain [George Austin / Dick Storey]. No report.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

In keeping with the Commodore’s wishes for a short meeting, committee reports were tabled until next meeting with the exception of the Club Manager’s report.

REGATTA SAIL:

CLUB MANAGER: Jess Hill informed the membership that the bar will be open for the Super Bowl and that Willie will be serving food.

HOUSE:

OTHER REPORTS: P/C Larry Chmela announced that the New Year’s Eve Party is almost full.

OLD BUSINESS: Captain Jess Hill asked about the process for notifying Captains whose boats need to be moved for dock repairs. Vice Commodore McGillin explained the process.

NEW BUSINESS: Captain Tom Youngs provided an update on the bulk fuel buy at Ballard Oil. He’s waiting for the price to drop so that members can get the best price.

RECEPTION: R/C Roberts again recognized Captain John Rogers as the senior member in attendance and Captain Todd Wallick as the junior member in attendance. Twenty-one members were present with several spouses and 2 guests. Two past commodores were present and recognized. 

QUARTER POT: Jan LaFountaine pulled for Friday lunches and quarter pot. Captains and Denny Roehl and Mark LaFountaine won Friday lunches, and Captain Ken Henry won the quarter pot.

GOOD & WELFARE: Ron Rolstad announced a $100 contribution from the staff of Ron’s Lake Union Upholstery to the Boyer Children’s Home on behalf of the Club. Club members also donated over $400 to Boyer Children’s Home from the ‘Giving Tree’.
