Planning and Finance Meeting Minutes – October 22, 2018

Planning and Finance Attendees: P/C Chairman Dale Roberts, Bruce Ramon, Mark Vanderwall, Mark Weiss

Bridge Attendees: Commodore Mark Reed

Other Attendees: Treasurer Bob Gunderson, Board Chair Gerald Fey

Chair P/C Dale Roberts called the meeting to order at 16:30, welcomed new Planning and Finance Committee member Mark Weiss.

Minutes from the October 2, 2018 meeting were approved as presented.

Treasure Report was presented by Bob Gunderson

• He noted that he was moving funds from checking to money market and doing other balancing of accounts
• He noted an approximate $10.3k surplus in the 2017/2018 budget
  • Discussion ensued, the committee recommended the Surplus of unallocated funds from the 2017 -2018 budget, be allocated  to the future Winslow Piling replacement project to help cover unforeseen cost overruns, as required.

The Bridge and Board reports - They were brief, no actions noted.

New Business: 

• The committee recommended Mark Vanderwall as the new Planning and Finance Chair for 2018/2019 to the Board of Trustees.
• Mark Weiss was elected as the new Planning and Finance Secretary for 2018/2019
• Social membership definition was reviewed and discussed, it was recognized changes would require a by-laws update.  Chairman Vanderwall agreed to contact current Social Members for feedback on social membership category.
